- Nickname — optional display name for your Agent profile.
- Phone number — provided only if you request your quest link via SMS or choose to participate in an in-game SMS experience.
- Feedback and ratings — optional star ratings and written feedback submitted after completing a quest.
- Residency status — optional, self-reported (Sioux Falls resident or visitor).
Information Collected Automatically
- Quest completion data — timestamps and quest identifiers when you complete a quest.
- Standard web log data — IP address, browser type, referring URLs, and pages visited, collected by our hosting infrastructure.
How We Use Your Information
- To deliver quest experiences, issue digital badges, and maintain your Agent profile.
- To send you transactional messages (e.g., magic link sign-in emails).
- To send you your quest link via SMS if you request it.
- To deliver in-game SMS experiences (e.g., texting you the next clue during an active quest) if you choose to participate.
- To improve the quality of our quests and user experience based on aggregated, anonymized feedback.
- To respond to support requests sent to hello@sfquest.com.
SMS Messaging
We use SMS only for two purposes: (1) sending you your quest link if you request it, and (2) delivering in-game experiences where you text us to receive your next clue. We do not send promotional or marketing messages via SMS. Message and data rates may apply.
To stop receiving SMS messages at any time, reply STOP to any message. For help, reply HELP or contact us at hello@sfquest.com.
How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers — trusted vendors who help us operate our platform (e.g., Supabase for database/auth, Twilio for SMS delivery). These providers are contractually bound to use your information only to perform services on our behalf.
- Legal compliance — if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.
Your information is never shared with third parties for their own marketing or promotional use.
Data Retention

We use industry-standard security practices, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and secure authentication via Supabase, to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
